India’s largest Low cost airline Air Deccan announced the changes in its cancellation and rescheduling policy with immediate effect.
Under the new policy any passenger who books ticket to fly on Air Deccan on/after Mar 17 will get cash back on cancellation of tickets. A fee of Rs.750 per sector and a transaction fee (10% of the basic fare) will be charged from the customers who wish to cancel their reservations. Balance will be refunded to the passenger.
If a passenger wants to reschedule the reservation, a fee of Rs.750 per sector per person will be charged along with difference in fare (if applicable) and tickets will be rescheduled to the new date and flight. Earlier passengers used to get credit vouchers on cancellation of tickets which they have to redeem within one year.
Cancellation charges of Air Deccan are the highest among all airlines. Many Other airlines charges Rs.500 per sector and no transaction fee from the passenger.
Be sure to book your tickets with Air Deccan only if you have firmed plan, else you should select the airline which has most customer friendly cancellation or rescheduling policy.
